How it works

Simple for your customer. Sorted for you.

Your customer taps or scans and is exactly where they need to be. Behind the scenes, Revu makes sure every link is right, today and later on.

For your customer

Tap or scan: no app either way

Tap (NFC)

Your customer holds their phone against the stand or sticker for a moment. On an iPhone that's the top of the phone, on most Android phones it's the middle of the back.

  1. Unlock the phone
  2. Hold it against the tap icon
  3. Tap the notification if one appears

Scan (QR code)

The back of the table stand and the link page carry a QR code. Handy when NFC is switched off or when a customer simply prefers scanning.

  1. Open the camera app
  2. Point it at the QR code
  3. Tap the link that appears

Tapping works without extra steps on iPhones from the iPhone XR and XS onwards, and on Android phones with NFC. On Android, NFC needs to be switched on in the settings; it usually already is.

What does your customer see?

With a review product, your Google review page opens straight away, where your customer can give stars and write a few words. With a link page, they see a clear page with your buttons.

For you

We set everything up

You don't need to install, link or program anything. This is how it goes:

  1. Getting to know you

You get in touch by email, WhatsApp or the form. Together we look at which products suit your business.

  2. We link everything

We look up your Google review link and your social channels and link them to your personal Revu link.

  3. Tested and ready to use

Every product is tested in advance, so it works the moment you give it a spot in your business.

  4. Follow-up

Something changes? Let us know and we'll update the destination remotely.

By the rules

More reviews, the honest way

Google wants real reviews from real customers. Revu makes leaving a review easy, but how you ask for reviews remains your responsibility. A few tips:

Do

  • Ask personally and kindly, for example when customers pay
  • Place your stand or sticker where customers wait for a moment
  • Ask everyone, not just customers who look happy
  • Reply to reviews, including the critical ones

Don't

  • No discount, gift or competition in exchange for a review
  • Don't approach only happy customers or try to keep negative reviews out
  • Don't ask for a specific rating or specific wording
  • Don't have reviews written by yourself, family or staff

Questions about how it works

Does the customer need to be signed in to Google?

To post a review, your customer needs a Google account. Most people are already signed in on their phone; if not, Google asks them to sign in first.

What if NFC is switched off on my customer's phone?

Then nothing happens when they tap. They can still scan the QR code on the table stand or link page. NFC is on by default on most Android phones; recent iPhones don't need anything switched on.

Can the link stop working?

The link on your product always stays the same. If your Google page or one of your profiles changes, we update the destination so your product keeps working.

Can I have multiple locations?

Yes. Each location can get its own link to the right Google page, so reviews end up with the right business.
