We handle your data with care. Below you can read, in plain language, what we process, why, and what your rights are.

2. What data do we process and why?

When you contact us

When you email us, send a WhatsApp message or use the contact form, we receive the details you provide: your name, your business name, your email address, possibly your phone number and your message.

  • Purpose: to answer your question and send you a proposal.
  • Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The contact form on this website does not store anything itself. It opens your own email or WhatsApp app with your message ready, so your message reaches us through that service.

When you become a customer

If you order from Revu, we process your contact and billing details and the links that belong to your business (such as your Google review page and your social profiles).

  • Purpose: to set up your products, manage and update your links, invoice you and support you.
  • Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations such as accounting and tax law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

When you visit this website

With every visit, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. This is needed to display the website and protect it against abuse.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in offering a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We don't use analytics tools and we don't track you across other websites. This website's fonts are loaded from our own server, not from external services.

3. Tapping or scanning a Revu product

When someone taps a Revu stand or sticker or scans a QR code, the redirect runs through getrevu.be. To send you on, technical data from your device (such as IP address and browser type) is briefly processed by our hosting provider.

Revu itself does not store any data about who taps or scans a product.

You then arrive at the destination the business has chosen, such as Google, Instagram or the business's website. From that moment on, that service's privacy policy applies.

4. Cookies and statistics

This website does not set tracking, analytics or advertising cookies, which is why you don't see a cookie banner. Our hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical cookies to protect the website, for example against automated abuse. No consent is needed for those.

5. Who do we share data with?

We never sell your data. We only share it with service providers we need to run Revu:

  • Cloudflare: hosting and security of this website and of the redirects. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area; appropriate safeguards apply, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
  • Our email provider: to receive and answer your emails.
  • WhatsApp (Meta): only if you contact us via WhatsApp yourself. WhatsApp's privacy policy applies.
  • Our accountant and public authorities, only where the law requires it.

6. How long do we keep data?

  • Enquiries that don't lead to an order: up to 12 months after our last contact.
  • Customer data: as long as you're a customer, and afterwards as long as needed to meet our legal obligations (for example the retention period for invoices and accounting records).
  • Technical data from website visits: as briefly as possible, in line with our hosting provider's standard periods.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • have processing restricted;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a common format (portability);
  • withdraw any consent you've given at any time.

Send your request to info@getrevu.be. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity so we don't give data to the wrong person.

Not happy with how we handle your data? You can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, contact@apd-gba.be, www.dataprotectionauthority.be. Of course, we'd like to hear from you first.

8. Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data. The website and all redirects run exclusively over a secure connection (HTTPS), and only people who need it for their work have access to your data.

9. Changes

We may update this privacy policy, for example when our services change. The latest version is always on this page.
